When will results be available?
The current UTS Handbook advises the dates for release of both Autumn and Spring final results:
Students will view their results online through My Student Admin (My Result Details)

How do I apply for an extension on an assignment?
Where illness or misadventure has a short term effect on your preparation for assessment it may be appropriate to apply for an extension of time without penalty. The form " Request for extension of time without academic penalty" should be submitted before the due date of the assessment item. Extensions will normally be granted for up to one week. Students whose studies are affected by serious illness or hardship should submit an "Application for Special Consideration" if they meet the strict criteria for this process.

Students may make an application for an extension of time by sending an email to their lecturers including all the information from this form. When the assignment is submitted, a copy of the extension approved by the lecturer must be attached behind this cover page.

How do I appeal against my final grade?
Students may appeal against a final grade for a subject under special criteria only and within a strict time frame. Full details of this process are available on the form called " Review of Final Subject Assessment Results".

Why is my subject result showing as a 'W'?
A 'W' grade indicates that your result has been Withheld - usually because some further work is required to be completed. If you receive a 'W' result you must immediately contact the Subject Coordinator to ensure that you understand what is required of you to complete the subject requirements otherwise the result will be changed to a Fail after a prescribed period.

Why is my subject result showing as an 'E' ?
An 'E' against a subject means that a Grade was not submitted by the Subject Coordinator. If you receive an 'E' result you must immediately contact your Subject Coordinator to ensure that you understand what is required to complete the subject requirements, otherwise the result will be changed to a Fail after the prescribed period.

How do I apply for Special Consideration?
The form "Application for Special Consideration" including detailed instructions, is available for download and should be used if your studies are affected by very serious illness or hardship.
An Application for special consideration must be completed and signed by an appropriate professional authority, such as a Medical Practitioner, Counsellor or Minister of Religion. The form must then be lodged at the Student Centre before the due date.
Where your circumstances do not warrant an application for Special Consideration but where you have experienced events beyond your control which are affecting your ability to submit an assessment item on time, you may submit the HSS form to "Request an extension of time without academic penalty". This form should be submitted before the due date for the assessment item and extensions using this process will normally be granted for up to one week.
