Our teaching philosophy at Social Inquiry
Integrating intellectual understanding of issues that affect society at large with practical social action is the philosophy that underpins the teaching and research focus of the Social Inquiry staff.
In teaching, Social Inquiry staff strive to educate and empower students to develop a conscious understanding of the professional application of knowledge gained through their study.
A number of staff are associated with the UTS:Trans/forming Cultures, a Key University Research Centre in Communication and Culture or the Research Initiative on International Activism (RIIA) working with non-government organizations to investigate the changing roles of social movements in a globalising context.
