How to become a professional partner with Social Inquiry
At Social Inquiry we want to develop partnerships which are sustainable and of mutual benefit. Contact the relevant people below to find out more about becoming a partner organization.
For a parliamentary placement with the NSW Parliament
Students are attached to the office of a Member of Parliament or a Parliamentary Officer and undertake work as agreed to by the student, UTS and partner agency.
To find out more, contact Virginia Watson on 9514 1974 or email Virginia.watson@uts.edu.au.
For a professional placement
A professional placement involves a student/s working on a specific workplace project. These have included:
- a report on teaching people with disabilities to lead independent lives for FRANS (Family Resource and Network Support)
- an annotated bibliography for the History of Guildford 2161 Project
For an applied research project
Students design and undertake some empirical research in conjunction with a partner organization. Research projects in the past have included examining the changing views of gender roles in households, attitudes of companies to corporate social responsibility, audience survey of the Sydney Film Festival.
