Nine UTS students have been selected to travel to Indonesia as part of the 'Australian Consortium for In Country Indonesian Studies' program.
These lucky few will be given the opportunity to gain valuable Indonesian language skills and experience working in a foreign news bureau.
Walkley Award winning Journalist, Louise Williams, who has had considerable experience both living and working in Indonesia, is the Project Officer.
The program runs for six weeks. The first two weeks are spent studying the Indonesian language and culture at Jakarta's Atma Jaya University. The last four are spent working in the news bureau and medium of choice.
