JOURNALIST
In the sleepy town of junee in central nsw nothing much happens. But on a hill not far away there is a house where strange things happen. This is the Monte Christo homestead. According to reports, this house could be haunted. It's open to visitors for tours and overnight stays. People report feeling sudden changes in temperature, hearing footsteps or crying, being touched and feeling suddenly ill. These photos, taken at the house are believed to show ghosts.
Reg and Olive Ryan are the owners and have lived here for 45 years.

One of the most bizarre things was my wife got up one morning, went down tot kitchen and there was a cat in there with it's eyes gauged out and stomach torn open. The house was all locked up so we don't know how it got in or what happened to it.
JOURNALIST
The house was built in 1876 by Christopher William Crawley. He lived in the house with his wife and children. Like any haunted house should, it has tragic history.
REG RYAN
The nanny dropped one of the little girls down the staircase and she died as a result of the fall, and the nanny claims something pushed the child out of her arms, and the little boy was supposed to be murdered in this room, and their reports say there was blood all over that wall. And the other one was one of the little Crawley girls was by the fire in the kitchen and the back of her dress caught on fire and she ran outside and was burned to death.

I was pushed down the stairs and the camera guys in front almost went down with me. Mrs Crawley told me to get out when I first appeared. Ok. I stepped outside for a little while. We walked outside and did some filming outside and stepped back in and it seemed to be ok. Monet Christo in my eyes, yes, it is haunted.
JOURNALIST
Many people are skeptical about the existence of ghosts. Like Anna Matthews who spent a night at the house.
ANNA MATTHEWS
I was skeptical, and then I heard some freaky noises last night, so I don't know, and this morning I was a it skeptical again. But I was a bit terrified for a while last night.
JOURNALIST
If Monte Christo is haunted, it is difficult to prove, but the house remains an attraction for curious tourists after a scare.
